2️⃣ Environmental Triggers – Lifestyle, infections, stress, and toxins that “flip the switch.”
3️⃣ Increased Intestinal Permeability (Leaky Gut) – When the gut barrier becomes compromised, foreign substances can enter the bloodstream and trigger inappropriate immune responses.

When the gut lining becomes “leaky” or more porous, undigested food particles, bacterial fragments, and toxins can slip through the barrier and trigger inflammation. Over time, these signals can cross-react with your body’s own tissues — leading to autoimmune reactions.
